Decarbonizing the Seas – Advanced Biofuels for the Maritime Sector

As the maritime industry faces tightening regulations under the FuelEU Maritime framework, the transition from fossil fuels to sustainable alternatives has become a mission-critical challenge. This joint workshop brings together five ambitious EU projects – M2ARE, COCPIT, SEA FAIRER, NEXTFUEL, and POSEIDON – to showcase the latest breakthroughs in maritime biofuel production.

Through a series of dynamic presentations, the session will explore diverse technological pathways faced by the projects.  Attendees will gain a comprehensive overview of current TRL progress, feedstock innovations, and decision-support tools designed to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and large-scale industrial implementation.

Join us to discover how these collaborative efforts are shaping a carbon-neutral future for global shipping and to engage directly with the experts driving the European maritime biofuel cluster.
