Network 4 Energy Sustainable Transition – NEST is one of the 14 large extended partnership projects selected by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU – within the framework of Mission 4, Component 2, Investment 1.3 of the PNRR, with the aim of funding basic research projects to strengthen national research chains and promote their participation in strategic European and global value chains.

Coordinated by the NEST Foundation (Hub), the 9 project spokes conduct specialised research in specific fields. They are made up of morè public and private partners spread across the country who, leveraging interdisciplinary expertise, generate new knowledge and develop innovative technologies and processes for the conversion and utilisation of renewable and sustainable energy sources.
