This workshop focuses on aligning the Integrated Biorefineries Mission (IBM Mission), part of the Mission Innovation (MI) initiative, with ongoing EU-funded research projects on related themes. The session aims to identify concrete synergies and opportunities for international collaboration between these EU-funded (and future) projects and the IBM Mission—particularly with countries outside the European Union, such as Canada, Brazil, India, and others.

The workshop will open with an overview of the IBM Mission’s activities, with a particular focus on Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and biopolymers. This will be followed by presentations from several EU-funded projects highlighting their work on SAF and biochemicals. A key topic for discussion will be how the IBM Mission can leverage and complement the efforts of EU projects to maximize impact.

This workshop is jointly organized by EUBCE, European Commission and Integrated Biorefineries Mission.
