AIMPLAS + AINIA: Innovation in Bioeconomy and Sustainable Technologies

An exclusive technical tour was organized as part of EUBCE 2025, featuring two leading innovation centers in a single, seamlessly coordinated itinerary.

Participants had the opportunity to visit:

  • AIMPLAS – a benchmark in polymer innovation and circular economy solutions.
  • AINIA – one of Europe’s foremost technology centers in food, bioeconomy, and sustainability.

This guided tour provided a unique chance to explore cutting-edge research, development, and industrial applications in the bioeconomy sector.
Participants gained firsthand insights into advanced technologies and processes while engaging with experts and peers.

The tour provided a rich learning experience, with ample opportunities for discussion and networking throughout the visits.

Tour of the AIMPLAS facilities

AIMPLAS is a technology centre with more than 35 years of experience in the plastics industry, providing solutions to companies across the value chain, from raw material manufacturers to plastic processors and end users.

Technology and cutting-edge equipment

  • Over 12000 m2 of facilities with cutting-edge technology.
  • Over 35 pilot plants are available to test all plastic processing applications, including thermoplastic, thermoset, and composite processing.
  • Our laboratories have the highest number of accreditations for plastics according to the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
