Please note that only extended abstracts (one page plus three explanatory pages) are eligible to be invited for the Peer Review Process.
The procedure for the 30th EUBCE is currently scheduled as follows:

Call for abstracts closes
July 2022
Notification of acceptance and invitation to the Peer Review Process
August 2022
Start submission of the full manuscript to Biomass & Bioenergy
October 2022
Deadline for Submission of the full manuscript to Biomass & Bioenergy
December 2022
All acceptable manuscripts sent out to the reviewers
February 2023
Favorably reviewed manuscripts returned to the authors for the revision
March 2023
Manuscripts revised according to the reviewers comments
April 2023
Procedure completed.
It should be noticed that all manuscripts will be published and made available on-line, immediately after acceptance.
Only the collation of a special issue requires waiting for the whole procedure to be completed.
If you are interested in participating in the Peer Review Process, please make sure that you can meet with the above mentioned deadline of 30 October 2021 for submission of the Final Manuscript.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The selection for the Peer Review Process and consequent publication in the special journal issue is apart from and in addition to the publication in the Conference Proceedings of the EUBCE.
The authors who have been invited to submit to the journal Biomass & Bioenergy need to prepare 2 different papers – one for the proceedings which should be short and one for the journal which should address their topic in greater detail and length.
The review process for this special issue will be overseen by Wolter Prins, Associate Editor of Biomass & Bioenergy.
