CROPSAFE (Crop Protection Strategies for the Transition to Environmentally-Friendly Agriculture) is a European Horizon Europe research project developing sustainable, bio-based crop protection solutions to replace harmful chemical pesticides.

It transforms renewable biomass residues into effective, nature-inspired compounds to protect key food crops like potatoes, tomatoes and bananas from pests and diseases, improving yields and environmental health. The consortium combines universities, industry and farmers to create accessible, eco-friendly products that support food security and circular bioeconomy goals across Europe.
