Decreasing printed materials thanks to the website, the online platform and 100% digital submissions
By making documents available electronically on the EUBCE website, as well as through its online platform, EUBCE is consistently reducing the number of printed pages.
Encouraging the use of public transport to access the venue
Take bus lines 28, 35, 38, 39 to/from the city center, Bologna Centrale railway station, and conference venue.
To meet decarbonization targets, the bus fleet will include locally-produced biomethane-powered vehicles, as well as fossil-free and renewable fuel vehicles
Suggesting short distance accomodation
There are over 160 star rated hotels within 3 kilometres of the conference venue.
Collaborating with sustainable and local suppliers
EUBCE supports local and regional businesses.
Suppliers are chosen on the basis of proximity and reliability in compliance with sustainability requirements.
Using sustainable catering and planning solutions to reduce food waste
EUBCE developed a catering concept that fits into its overall strategy of making the meeting as sustainable as possible.
Coffee breaks, lunch and dinner menus offer a range of organic and local dishes (with vegetarian fare too), reducing the carbon footprint of each from farm to fork.
EUBCE uses certified (UNI EN 13432) cutlery, crockery and biodegradable glasses during the Conference.
EUBCE participants will find two water dispensers (sparkling, hot and cold still) for bottles inside the Congress Center.
EUBCE also works closely with our catering in Bologna to prevent food waste by making donations of left-overs.
Selecting sustainable and

EUBCE works closely with its suppliers and local vendors to select recycled materials, eliminate styrofoam packaging and ensure the procurement of eco-friendly goods.
In addition to reducing the use of materials, waste is recycled.
