For the first time, EUBCE will be held as an entirely virtual meeting that will offer the biomass community the possibility for exchanges, scientific news and updates while protecting the safety, health, and well-being of all participants.

The EUBCE is working hard to make this online platform a relevant and effective communication channel, with positive effects reaching far beyond the conference and exhibition.

The virtual meeting will take place between 6 – 9 July 2020. Virtual sessions will allow for live interaction and will be available on-demand in the weeks following the event.

  • *Student: maximum age 30. PhD Student: maximum age 35
    Full time students only. Requires proof of status, i.e. either a copy of a valid 2019-2020 student ID card or an official letter from the educational institution, confirming that the registrant is a full-time student at the time of the event. A valid document, showing the date of birth. This document should be uploaded during the registration process. Without this document, EUBCE reserves the right to proceed with regular registration and to charge the corresponding registration fee.

Important registration information

Any participant who has registered for EUBCE 2020 is automatically registered for the virtual conference to be held from 6 to 9 July 2020.

The registration fee already paid will be imputed partially to e-EUBCE 2020 (see new fees) and the remaining amount will be given back, as a voucher, for EUBCE 2021 that will be held in Marseille from the 26 to 29 April.

Nevertheless, if a participant is not interested in participating in this e-EUBCE virtual conference and notifies the Conference Secretariat of his/her cancellation by 25 May 2020, he/she will receive a voucher amounting to the value of the registration fee already paid, to be imputed on the registration fee for EUBCE 2021, which will take place in Marseille from 26 to 29 April 2021.

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to registration@etaflorence.it. Details must include the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address.

All other registration details will be assigned to the new person.

e-EUBCE  2020 virtual meeting will offer you a full virtual experience and the opportunity to take part in every aspect of the programme including:

  • Open access to all live presentations and session recordings. Create your own schedule, attend any and all of the sessions whenever and wherever (e-EUBCE 2020: the on-demand complete video of the event is available to view until September 2020).
  • Access all the e-posters. Browse research on the hottest topics published in the conference and connect with the abstract authors and other colleagues from around the world through the e-poster virtual consultations.
  • Join the debate. Attend a session recorded and streamed live to allow participation delegates from all over the world to participate in live conversations.
  • Visit the virtual exhibition hall. A journey through the exhibition booths where you can choose to explore any of the displayed material and information.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation of registration must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat by e-mail to registration@etaflorence.it.
For cancellations received by 9 March 2020: 50 % refund of registration fee.
From 10 March 2020: no reimbursement.
No cancellation policy applies to new e-EUBCE 2020 registrations.
