Come for the conference. Stay for the experience!

When attending EUBCE 2023 in Bologna this June, you will experience much more than a powerful scientific conference with an industry track, side events, exhibition, and technical tours!
Come along to experience the rich Italian culture in this walkable historic city that is not only home to the world’s oldest university, but also the origin of the world’s most famous pasta sauce!
Bologna is considered the gastronomic capital of Italy, famous for its delicious dishes inspired by the farming culture and age-old traditions of the surrounding Emilia-Romagna region, as well as being the at the epicentre of Italy’s northern wine region, with plenty of top vineyards within striking distance of the city centre. Of course, since we will be there in the summer it’ll be the perfect opportunity to taste one of Italy’s unforgettable artisan ice creams.
During the weeklong conference there will also be time to visit the UNESCO Porticoes of Bologna, art galleries, and museums, of which three museums are dedicated to luxury cars; Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ducati, and Maserati. And if you’re really into prestigious motors the F1 track at Imola is just 20 minutes from the city and you could even join Motor Valley Fest 2023!
The city is also strategically located in the middle of beautiful landscapes, in the foothills of the Apennines mountains, so why not tag on a couple of extra days to explore the surroundings or even stay at one of the many natural thermal springs or spas in the area. Or take advantage of the high-speed train connections and travel to Venice, Florence or even Rome all within a couple of hours of Bologna.
Bologna... always inspiring
