ENABLING POLICIES FOR INCREASED BIOMASS UTILISATION IN THE FUTURE LOW CARBON BIOECONOMY (Joint Workshop of ADVANCEFUEL, BioMonitor and MAGIC)
The aim of the workshop is to facilitate discussions with stakeholders from policy and industry in order to co-design potential future policy interventions for increased biomass utilization in the framework of a low carbon bioeconomy. This explorative workshop with combined policy related presentations and discussion is a joint action of the European projects ADVANCEFUEL, MAGIC and BioMonitor.
The discussion will target value chains of industrial crops cultivated in marginal land as feedstocks for advanced fuels and biobased products. While focussing on land use and biomass production, the discussion will:
• identify policy related challenges and gaps that need to be addressed
• suggest policy aims, and
• propose potential policy interventions that can improve challenges and resolve gaps.
