The next European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE 2018), the leading international Conference in biomass, will be held in Copenhagehn, Denmark, from 14 - 18 May 2018.
The EUBCE's upcoming location, Denmark, is one of Europe's strongest growth markets with a vibrant biomass research scene. "I would like to thank you for considering Copenhagen as a possible destination to host the 26th European Biomass Conference in May 2018. The 25th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition closed its doors today in Stockholm
The global biomass community gathered in Stockholm to conduct business, network and discuss the latest developments and innovations as well as to discover the most innovative bioenergy applications from industry and to hear about the state of play and the policy context that are shaping this sector.
1537 conference delegates from 70 countries attended and, as the hosting country, Sweden ranked first by number of participants, followed by Germany and Italy. More than 850 presentations covering the entire scope of biomass value chains were given as well as 2 parallel events and 5 workshops conducted. As part of the event programme, a tour to Scandinavian Biogas Södertörn Plant was also organised.

The world of biomass is meeting in Stockholm
On the 12th of June 2017, delegates from scientific research, industry and policy-makers from 66 countries gathered in Stockholm for the 25th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition. This year the event features more than 800 Presentations, from 3,800 authors and co-authors, two parallel events and five workshops. As every year the conference programme touches on all different subjects of the biomass sector along the week. The conference provides a science-to-science and science-to-industry platform for knowledge exchange to discuss the latest scientific findings, industrial progress and policy landscape through keynote and plenary presentations and specialised thematic sessions.
The conference opening session discussed â€œThe Indispensable Role of Biomassâ€ as part of the long-term goal agreed in Paris for limiting the increase of average global temperature and optimizing the role of bioenergy in the wider bio-economy.

EUBCE 2017: The largest gathering of biomass experts
The European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE) represents one of the key events in Europe and worldwide for professionals and companies operating at the top end of the biomass and the bioenergy sectors. This June in Stockholm the EUBCE will celebrate its 25th edition.
Ever since Europe and its Member States begun developing policies and research programs for renewable energy, the EUBCE has always been an important event to collect the knowledge and to share the views of biomass experts from research, industry, and policy.
With presentations addressing the latest technologies, the policy framework, and the medium and long-term strategies and potentials, EUBCE is the annual meeting point for the transfer of knowledge and expertise among research, industry and policy makers.

EUBCE: A Cross-Border Platform for Contacts, Knowledge, Discussion and Solutions
The European Biomass Conference and Exhibition celebrates this year its 25th edition in Stockholm.
With a full agenda of horizontal topics the EUBCE is a key event for the biomass and bioenergy community. A unique platform promoting the transfer of knowledge and expertise among research, industry and policy makers.
The EUBCE programme includes this year 1004 presentations, 276 of which are oral presentations, 12 plenaries and 716 visual presentations. An up-to-date programme aims to provide prompt answers to the evolving international policy debate about tackling climate change and giving a glance into the most innovative scientific and technical advances and industry projects.

Lena Ek and Henrik Ehrnrooth will co-chair the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition 12-15 June 2017, in Stockholm Sweden
The 25th EUBCE, takes place from the 12 to 15 June 2017 at Stockholmsmässan in Stockholm. This year for the first time the conference will be co-chaired by Lena Ek (Sweden), President Södra, and Henrik Ehrnrooth (Finland), Chairman of the Board of Pöyry, thereby bringing together the strong and common interests of their two countries in the political support and business opportunities for bioeconomy.
